Skiing at Squaw Valley!

Lake Tahoe in the background

We drove up to Tahoe on Friday night and actually made it there under 4 hours so we were happy. We managed to snag one of the last cheap hotel rooms in the Valley that night. We skiied all day Saturday and wow was the snow different than our typical Rocky Mountain powder! It really was California cement (as they call it.) Anyway, we had a blast and realized the mountain is absolutely HUGE and we hit it on a really warm day which was nice. We were so amazed how easy we were able to hop in the car and go skiing!

Eric & Alita Visit!

We had so much fun hanging out with our fun Texas friends! We didn't want them to leave. The weekend rain didn't stop us from touring around SF and Sausalito! We miss everyone...our door is always open for visitors ;)

We went to a wine club event at our winery we are members at and were surprised how much greener everything is at this time of year. During the summer everything was very dry and now there's alot more green!

View from our deck

The Queen Mary 2 came into the SF Bay today as part of it's 81 day around-the-world cruise. We had a great view from our deck that overlooks the bay. It barely made it under the bridge with not much room to spare! There were tons of boats in the bay that were riding alongside it and lots of spectators all lined up on our street with their binoculars watching it come in to dock at Pier 27.

Our view at sunset...

ATL!

This past weekend a decent representation of PPAAA descended upon ATL for Ben's birthday.

(Picture Gallery)

Things started out decently enough:

However, as the dreaded three-oh approaches, it is apparent that we need to make some additional guidelines for PPAAA membership:

1. Only the penitent man shall pass

2. You must be in touch with your feminine side

3. Giveth and ye shall receive

Of course, the aftermath:

Goodbye for now Austin & Farnish Cove...

Goodbye Farnish and Austin! We have almost 5 years of memories at our first home "Farnish." Many memories of late night pong games, cooking dinner together, Christmas decorating, gardening- watching my cantaloupes take over the field, our infamous 10 feet tall sunflowers, Karl growing his "babies" (trees), and of course our beer can chicken incident! ....Austin, we'll be back...
